What does it cost?
Normally we ask for toiletry donations that help the Bucksport food pantry but this year Bucksport Community Concerns needs our help in a different way. On November 7, the volunteers who run the pantry went in to find that it had flooded. This year instead of collecting of personal hygiene products we will be asking folks to just bring cash to Tozier’s Turkey Trail 2018. You can decide how much you want to give to help them get over this hurdle. They need to raise $1000 to off-set immediate cost.
What are we racing for?
Like a traditional scavenger hunt, you’ll meet at the beginning, split into teams and compete against each other. There are hidden 6 Turkey Idols, all within 30 minutes of Bucksport. Teams receive a clue sheet at the start of the race. Each clue will lead you to an idol or other challenge. As teams complete each challenge, which may have them find cool things, solve riddles, take goofy photos and more, they’ll upload their pictures to the Tozier’s Turkey Trail event page on facebook. If done correctly, each time your team will earn a point towards the grand prize! The teams that retrieve the Idols, complete the Idol Picture Challenges and bring them back to the chamber will be awarded a frozen turkey Certificate (Thanks to Tozier’s Family Markets). Limit one TURKEY idol per team.
I want in! When and where do I need to be?
The race officially begins at 12 PM, November 18, 2018 so please arrive at the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce office, 54 Main Street, Bucksport at 11 AM. There will be a check-in desk to pay your entry fee and receive your team bibs. Clues will be handed out to the team captains right before the race begins. You only have two hours to complete your quest! Teams will be disqualified if they have not returned to the chamber by 2:00pm.
